Your task is to separate what is known from what is only assumed. Explore Whitechapel through surviving records and on-location puzzles, building an evidence-led case as you go. This investigation centres the lives of the women and what the records can actually tell us.

Before you choose: Discusses the deaths of five women in 1888. No graphic imagery. The killer remains unidentified.

Getting to the start

Plan your journey to Aldgate East. Meet outside Whitechapel Gallery on the public pavement, keeping entrances clear. Gallery entry is not required.

Check your travel service before setting out. Leave time to meet your team and get ready.

A short walk back is part of the plan. Return walks are being checked before launch. Our target is 10 minutes and our maximum approved estimate is 15 minutes, depending on pace and crossings.
